‏Hello, I am Shahd, I am 21 years old, a student at Al-Azhar University. I ask those with compassionate hearts and those who are able to help to help me and my family and save me from this brutal war that is killing innocent people without mercy. They destroyed my house and killed my friend and her family. I saw their remains, crumbled and featureless, some of them burned. These scenes disappear from my mind every minute. I fear seeing one of my family members like this. We are here fighting death and miraculously surviving missiles, lack of food, illness, and lack of medicine. My little sister has contracted hepatitis, and many days have passed while she has been crying. I imagined that she would die at any moment. A moment in Gaza, there are no necessities for life. There is smoke and fire, an epidemic of hunger and poverty. I am crying as I write this letter to you. I ask you to look at us with your merciful eyes and extend a helping hand to me. No matter how simple your donation is, for me this thing is large and valuable. With your blessings, you will save the soul of a person and an entire family from... Illness and death. Shahed is a 21 year old Accounting student from Gaza who's faced unbearable loss in the past months. Shahd has been trying to raise funds go evacuate her family from Gaza since February. Recently, news have surfaced that the border will open in a week, but she hasn't raised enough money to evacuate yet. Her hope is that, by next week, she will reach a goal of $30.000 (USD) to evacuate part of her family, thus, staying behind.

Currently, Shahd's fundraiser is at $13.353 (USD). She needs to reach $40.000 until the end od the month, or else they'll miss this short window of time to cross the border.

I do not know how to begin my story. I do not know if my words will touch the hearts of everyone. What I want is to save my beautiful and loving family. It is like my whole life. I wish from my heart to be this girl who fights with all her might for her family because they are everything to me, and every day passes. It is as if we were carrying mountains and walking with them. The situation is catastrophic, like a movie that you do not know what its ending is. The North is suffering from hunger and the South is suffering from destruction, bombing, poor food and death that haunts it every second. Today was difficult. Many of my family were martyred. The news was not good. I hope that my day will end and that We are fine, what does the world expect from us? Should I wait to see my family's health deteriorate before my eyes?!
